Some more diving in Reykjanes peninsula and Blue lagoon

Did some shore diving in Reykjanes peninsula and relaxed in blue lagoon. Bergur Sigurdsson from dive.is was our guide on the surface and in the ocean and provided us internet connection to update this log. Many thanks!

After Silfra we wanted to do some shore diving in the Reykjanes peninsula. Our first dive was in a abandoned small fishing harbour where we found lots of cat fish, crabs, flat fish etc - a very nice dive.

Our guide, Bergur from dive.is, took very good care of us on the surface and in the water so he was rewarded with a precious Kupla T-shirt. Not that many of them have been given to Icelanders...

After the (very early..) morning dive we went to Blue Lagoon. It is a strange bath in the middle of lava fields filled with warm blue water coming from a nearby thermal power plant. It is the most popular tourist attraction in Iceland and very much worth visiting.

After Blue Lagoon Bergur offered a bit of sight seeing and one more shore dive.

The weather has been kind to us. So far he only occasions of rain have happened while driving.

It was 11pm when we finally came back to our guest house and were able to unwind from the heavy day and charge some batteries for the next day. It looks like next morning is going to be late..
