Krafla
We visited one of the most geologically active
area in Iceland - Krafla. It is a strange place where one can see clouds rising
from the earth and the color of the earth is unreal.
In Krafla the warning sign is better taken
seriously.
Finally, boiling water, boiling mud! Sulphur smells everywhere.
It is just unreal to walk through the clouds rising from earth. The world was completely silent and smoke rose slowly from the earth around me. Everywhere was only lava formations and mountains. Like a world after nuclear holocaust.
A few hundred meters farther we saw maybe the best view of the trip - lava formations of different ages and mountains. Pictures can only tell so much about the place..
After heavy walking around Krafla we went to nearby bath to relax and meet sunset
