Autumn 2005 - the situation: Business trip to California coming in November, need to visit engineering in Pittsburgh some day and 2 1/2 weeks of unused vacation time.. decisions, decisions..
In the end it was quite simple: rent a car from JFK, drive like crazy to Pittsburgh for the meetings and then start driving leisurely towards California. I chose to follow loosely route US-50 as it goes through some interesting areas and ends in San Francisco. Click here for travel log.
